Boruto Scar

The original idea for the drawing was that boruto wanted to get rid of his jougan hence why he stabs his eye which is how he gets his scar.

Boruto scar. Just a hunch that popped in my head what if the scar on timeskip boruto s eye was momoshiki taking over his consciousness and trying to scrape out the eye because if i remember correctly in the early part of the anime momoshiki or one of the otsutsuki said that eye would prove troublesome in the future. Ever since episode one of the boruto series aired fans have wondered just what happened to boruto by the time he turned sixteen and what caused him to get the scar over his eye. Boruto is the first child of naruto and hinata.

I doubt that it ll actually happen this way in the series but i thought it was an interesting possibility so i wanted to draw it. The real reason boruto unlocked the pure eye otsutsuki powers can he save naruto from dying. Although initially resentful of his father and his absence since becoming hokage boruto eventually comes to respect his father and duties yet vows to become a shinobi like his mentor.

Naruto next generations manga has made some big revelations in the last few chapters and chapter 44 was no exception.
